The online shop got a big update today! The new Spring Summer 2011 Collection is now available for Pre-order online. If you've had your eye on some of our new pieces for the last few weeks, you can now place an order!
The blossoms are out now in Vancouver and it's so beautiful.
New pieces will be on the floor at Les Étoffes this week. If you are in Montréal, and have had your eye on the Helm Sweater from our Spring 2011 Collection, you are in luck. They are the only store in Canada that will be carrying this piece. This is the nature of the beast when working with post-production fabrics. The stock is limited in quantity, and once it sells out- It's gone! It is made of a 100% Cotton patterned knit. How awesome is that?
Helm Sweater in 100% Cotton
Available in the patterned knit.
Pier Blouse in 100% Silk
Available in both White and Olive
w/ Caramel Leather detailing
Adrift Pocket Tee in 100% Silk
Available in White w/ Caramel Leather detailing
I am so proud of my twin sister Diana, for opening this beautiful store! She and her beau Chris, have worked so hard to create space that is warm and inviting, as well as so tastefully curated. Not only do they house a gorgeous selection of beautifully crafted garments, shoes and accessories, but the decor is also really something to see...think exposed wood beam walls and custom wall paper, as well as the clever use of meat hooks as clothing hooks. If you are in Montreal or just visiting, do check it out!
Yesterday, I shipped off a box filled with Spring pieces to our newest stockist, Thistle & Clover. Here are the pieces that will be arriving in store early next week.
Beacon Dress in Navy
Pier Blouse in Navy Silk/Cotton Voile
Mast Pencil Skirt in Chambray Cotton
Tulip Dress in Chambray Cotton
As a new addition to the Thistle & Clover Designer roster, I was chosen to be interviewed for the Thistle & Clover Diaries, which is now online and can be viewed here. My portrait was taken by my dear friend Katie Stewart, who popped by early one morning.
If you are in the NYC area and would like to see our new pieces in person, as well as meet some of the other designers included in the latest edition of the T& C Diaries, stop by their facebook page to rsvp. The party kicks off Tuesday, March 15th from 5:30-8:30
Thanks for stopping in.
p.s. Which are your favourites from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection?
H a i i k u was founded in Montreal, Quebec by designer Iris Taborsky-Tasa in the Fall of 2005. The line is now produced in Vancouver, Canada, with emphasis on ethical production values and quality of materials. With comfort at it's core, H a i i k u creates garments that women will simply want to live in. Natural fabrics are prominent in each collection, along with post-production fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfills. With a fondness for vintage and clean lines, H a i i k u strives to marry the two by creating timeless pieces that women will want to wear time and time again.
